Iran's Majlis speaker returns from Turkey
Tehran, May 12, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, who was in Turkey heading a parliamentary delegation, returned home on Tuesday evening.
During his 3-day visit to Turkey, Larijani attended the emergency meeting of executive committee of parliamentary union of member countries of Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC).
He also discussed issues of mutual interest with Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Energy Minister Taner Yildiz and Parliament Speaker of Syria Mahmoud al-Abrash, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri as well as counterparts from Kuwait Jassem al-Kharafi, Bahrain Parliament Speaker Khalifa Ahmad al-Zahrani .
Larijani also visited Istanbul Marmaray Tunnel project before departing for Tehran./end
