MONGOLIA JOINS IWTO

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Mongolia has officially joined the International Wool Textile Organization (IWTO) in accordance with a decision made at the 79th IWTO Congress which was held May 3-5 in Paris, France.
Thanks to gaining a membership status in this organization, Mongolia gets an opportunity to export its wool and cashmere products to the international market pursuant to quality standards of the IWTO. In addition to it, Mongolia has an opportunity now to export the products to 27 European countries on easy terms.
Present at the IWTO's Congress were Kh.Zoljargal, Vice Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry; A.Battor, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the United Kingdom of Belgium and to the United Kingdom; some representatives of Mongolia's Center of Wool and Cashmere Tests at Mongolia's University of Science and Technology and Mongolian Union of Wool and Cashmere, and about 200 experts from 23 countries.
The next congress will be held in 2011 in China.
