MONGOLIA DONATES USD 50 THOUSAND


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Deputy Premier M.Enkhbold received Monday Mr Yu Hongyao, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China (PRC) to Mongolia. During the meeting, Mr Enkhbold granted non-refundable aid of USD 50 thousand to the Ambassador.
In accordance with a decision made by Mongolia's government, the non-refundable aid has been given to China for easing the consequences that have resulted from the deadly earthquake which hit Qinhai province April 14, 2010 killing some 2,200 people and making 100 thousand people homeless.
Enkhbold said China rendered a large aid to Mongolia to overcome difficulties of zud disasters. "Our countries have been rendering assistance to each other in difficult times," he added.
In his turn, the Ambassador expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Chinese people and government to the Mongolian side for the aid and added that it will be spent on reconstruction in Qinhai province.
Then the sides discussed an issue of a preparation for official visit of Wen Jiabao, the Premier of the State Council of the PRC, to be paid to Mongolia.
