Iran to host int’l confab on moral values
Tehran, May 9, IRNA – An international seminar themed ‘Role of Moral Values in Higher Education in Era of Globalization’ will be held here in July.
Announcing this, the Iranian member of the Union of World Universities Mohammad Hossein Soroureddin told IRNA that some 30 Iranian universities are members of the entity.
Proposed first by Iranian universities, the event was approved by the Union of World Universities
The upcoming session of the union’s executive board will be convened in Nikolas Romeris University in Lithuania, he said.
Currently, the union has 600 members, 30 of which are Iranian universities, Soroureddin said.
He also called on the Iranian universities to become members in the union.
Record of activities, number of the students and faculty members and their scientific ranking are the criteria considered in gaining membership of the union, he said./end
