Iran's Spokesman welcomes Kakavand's release from French detention
Tehran, May 9, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast on Saturday welcomed the release of Majid Kakavand from French detention and his arrival home.
He said that Kakavand was innocent and Iranian Foreign Ministry had acknowledged to the French Judiciary that his arrest was the outcome of the U.S. intelligence campaign against the Islamic Republic.
“Kakavand had done nothing wrong. The French Judiciary cleared him of any charge. We appreciate the move by the French Judiciary and consider it a positive point in the two countries’ ties,” he said./end
