Iran’s non-oil exports to EU up 10% last year
Tehran, May 8, IRNA – Iran’s non-oil exports to the European Union gained a whopping increase of 10 percent last year, said an Iranian official here on Thursday.
Deputy Head of the Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) of Iran for Marketing and International Affairs, Reza Towfiqi, said the volume of Iran’s non-oil exports to the EU reached USD2.013 billion in the last Iranian calendar year of 1388 (2009-10) from USD1.84 billion the previous year.
He said that Iran’s imports from the EU, however, showed sharp decline of 13 percent last year, reaching USD14 billion from USD16 billion the year earlier./end
