MONGOLIANS IN POLAND COMPETE IN SPORTS

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Regular basketball, table tennis and chess competitions run May 1-2 in Wolyv town, Poland, among Mongolian students who study in this country. The tournaments have inviolved 14 teams from several cities.
At the opening ceremony, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Poland O.Dambiinyam addressed the contestants saying this event is held on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Mongolia-Poland Diplomatic Relations.
A team named “Buyany setgelt khuu” won the men's basketball contest followed by team from Wroclav city, whereas a team from Lydz city became a winner in the women's contest. Runners up are teams from Warsaw and Krakyv.
The Ambassador awarded the winners medals, diplomas and prizes named after the Union of Mongolians in Poland (UMP). The best athletes' special prize named after the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations was given to Kh.Monkhjargal and
E.Gan-Erdene.
