Iranian-Tajik officials hold talks

Dushanbe, May 5, IRNA – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Parliamentarian Affairs Hassan Qashqavi and Tajik Deputy Prime Minister Ruqiya Qurbanova conferred on issues of mutual interest in a meeting here on Wednesday.

Qashqavi said Iran is keen on exchange of university students as well as information technology between the two nations.

Qashqavi invited Ms Qurbanova to visit Iran which was welcomed by the Tajik side. She hoped to visit Iran in the near future.

Meanwhile, the Tajik official said his country is willing to use Iran’s experiences in sports, literature, culture, health and tourism.

Iran’s deputy foreign minister along with his delegation arrived in the capital city of Dushanbe, Tajikistan, late on Tuesday on a five-day visit to the country.

He met with Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi and the speaker of the country’s Parliament./end
