Iran President: Ball in yard of those who should accept fuel swap deal

United Nations, May 4, IRNA – Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced at the UN NPT conference on Monday that the ball is in court of those who should accept the nuclear swap deal and cooperate.
According to IRNA's representative at the UN, President Ahmadinejad’s reference was to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon’s remarks, who had said in part of his opening address that Iran must accept the nuclear swap proposal now and that the ball is now in Iran’s yard.
President Ahmadinejad said, “We had accepted the fuel swap deal from the very beginning, and that is what we are saying today, as well” adding, “The ball, therefore, is shot into the yard of those who should accept the deal and cooperate in this field.”
After those remarks President Ahmadinejad began his main address, during which the entire audience in the hall were silently listening.”/end
