Tehran hosting 10th ICAO regional meeting
Tehran, May 3, IRNA – The 10th specialized regional meeting related to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) started work here on Monday.
Head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) Reza Nakhjavani and representatives of 12 regional countries as ICAO members have attended the Tehran ICAO meeting.
The meeting will focus on the issues of safe, secure and sustainable development of civil aviation through cooperation amongst its member states.
Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, Bahrain, the UAE, Lebanon, Syria, Kuwait, Yemen and Iraq are the regional members taking part in the meeting.
The 10th specialized regional meeting of ICAO will run until May 5.
The International Civil Aviation Organization, a UN Specialized Agency, is the global forum for civil aviation. Convention on International Civil Aviation (also known as Chicago Convention), was signed on December 7, 1944 by 52 States./end
