Iran's Interior Minister arrives in Baku
Baku, Azerbaijan Republic, May 3, IRNA – Interior Minister of Iran Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar arrived here Monday morning on a two-day official visit heading a high-ranking delegation.
Najjar and his entourage were welcomed at Baku's airport by his Azeri counterpart Ramil Usubov.
Speaking to reporters upon his arrival, the Iranian minister said he was visiting Azerbaijan to exchange views with the country’s senior officials on ways to promote bilateral relations.
Major security and border issues as well as illegal drugs smuggling, money laundering, criminals extradition and promotion of economic and trade ties were other topics to be discussed in Najjar’s separate meetings with the Azeri officials including President Ilham Aliyev and a number of Azeri ministers./end
