Iran-Belarus have common viewpoints on int'l issues: Official

Tehran, May 2, IRNA – Head of Presidential Office called Iran and Belarus relations friendly and said the two countries have common viewpoints on International issues.

Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, in a meeting with Belarusian Ambassador to Tehran Victor Rybak here on Saturday afternoon, said Iran and Belarus are following their natioanl interests by promoting bilateral ties.

He added that current world situation makes it necessary the two countries increase mutual cooperation and ties in different fields.

Referring to the agreements and projects, Mashaei said the agreements should be implemented with appropriate speed, so that new projects could be defined and existing potentials could be used in bilateral relations.

He said that both governments intend to promote ties.
Victor Rybak said that Iran and Belarus have many commonalities and there is no limitation for promotion of bilateral ties.

He also called for more speed in implementation of joint projects as well as increase in cooperation level./end
