TURKEY'S EXPORT RISES IN MARCH
ANKARA (A.A) - 30.04.2010 - Turkey's export increased 22.4 percent in March, 2010.
TurkStat stated on Friday that the export in March reached 9.9 billion USD by rising 22.4 percent when compared to March, 2009.
The import also increased 42.7 percent to 15.017 billion USD in March, 2010 when compared to March, 2009.
TurkStat stated that foreign trade deficit rose 112.5 percent from 2.3 billion USD to 5.031 billion USD in March, 2010.
Exports coverage imports dropped to 66.5 percent in March 2010, while it was 77.5 percent in March, 2009.
Turkey's export increased 7 percent to 26.2 billion USD, while import increased 32.7 percent to 38.3 billion USD in the first quarter of 2010 when compared to the first quarter of 2009.
