PRESIDENT IN JILIN PROVINCE


Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Visiting the People's Republic of China, Mongolia's President Ts.Elbegdorj arrived Thursday in Jilin province, the northeastern part of the country.
In frames of the visit to Jilin, the Mongolian President received Sun Zhengcai, the Communist Party of China's (CCP) Secretary of Jilin province, and Wang Rulin, a governor of the province.
At the meeting, Sun Zhengcai expressed his gratitude to Mr Elbegdorj for visiting their province and shared his opinions on expanding the bilateral relations and cooperation in region, utilizing business opportunities and increasing investments. The sides discussed an issue of running on the Mongolian territory a transit transport corridor to connect Asia and Europe and of constructing an auto road between Choibalsan city and the Rashaant border checkpoint, Mongolia.
"My visit to Jilin province is not paid by accident. This province determines an economic development in Northeast Asia, and I see that the government of China attaches to it great importance," said Mr Elbegdorj. "Landlocked Mongolia may find in this province an exit to its economic chances. The Mongolian side will hold its participation in exhibitions organized in Jilin in order to increase investments from Northeast Asian region," he said and added he is very confident that his talks with Chinese leaders will succeed during the state visit.
After this meeting, G.Erdenebat, governor of Darkhan-Uul aimag, and Wang Rulin signed a memorandum on cooperation between their provinces.
