ALBANIA TO PURCHASE AZERBAIJAN’S NATURAL GAS
Baku, 10 July,(AzerTAj)- Following the meeting with Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha on the sidelines of the summit in Zagreb, Croatia, Turkey’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Hilmi Guler told journalists that the official Tirana is keen to start negotiations with Azerbaijan to buy natural gas, transported viaTurkey.
In his address to the summit, Hilmi Guler said Turkey is the main stake holder of Europe’s energy security, adding that the world’s need to oil has increased to 1 billion barrel per day from 2007, and that volume is being supplied by the main Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan export oil pipeline, which is transporting Azerbaijan’s crude oil.
Mr. Hilmi Guler also added that the intergovernmental documents on Nabucco project will be signed in the near future.
