YEMEN, IFAD, WB REVIEW IMPROVING CRMP ACTIVITIES IN DALEI



SANA'A, April 28 (Saba) - Yemen, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and World Bank (WB) discussed here on Wednesday the mechanisms to improve the activities of the Community Resource Management Project (CRMP) in Dalei province.

The meeting chaired by Undersecretary of Agriculture and Irrigation Ministry Abdul-Malik al-Thawr reviewed the CRMP's activities and the services offered by the project to the beneficiaries.

During the meeting, al-Thawr and representatives of IFAD and WB touched on the procedures related to the handover of the supervision task on the project from WB to IFAD, in addition to reviewing the machineries of the project's work upgraded by WB with the project executive team previously.

A report on the project's objectives, importance and obstacles hindering its implementation was also dealt with in the meeting.

The Community Resource Management Project (CRMP), 2007 – 2014, aims to enhance the agricultural development in the province via water management and lands, improving the live conditions and society development.

The project cost reaches $26.8 million, of which $15.4 million was a loan from IFAD.
