SHURA CHAIRMAN CONGRATULATES TORLOT FOR SURVIVING FROM SUICIDE ATTACK



SANA'A, April 28 (Saba) - Chairman of the Shura Council Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Ghani congratulated on Wednesday the British ambassador Tim Torlot over surviving from a failed attack targeting him on Monday.

During his meeting with the Britain diplomat, Abdul-Ghani renewed Yemen's government and people strong condemnation of the terrorist attack, affirming the country's determination to continue its war against terrorism.

For his part, the British ambassador expressed his appreciation of the Yemen's official and popular position that reflected a strong solidarity against this terrorist act.

He also affirmed his country's supportive attitudes for Yemen and its keenness to continue all bilateral cooperation forms in development field and the joint coordination in fighting terrorism.

The two sides talked about the strict position of Yemen and Britain towards terrorist acts and their readiness to work together in order to counter this phenomenon, which threatens peace and security all over the world.

Abdul-Ghani and Torlot reviewed several issues relating to mutual cooperation between Yemen and UK as well as subjects of common concerns.

Ambassador Tim Torlot has been survived from a failed terrorist attack taken place on Monday morning in Noqoum region.

The suicide bomber, 22, was identified by the security bodies as "Othman Ali al-Selwi".

Except the bomber, none was killed, however, three people were slightly injured including a woman.
