YEMEN, OMAN DISCUSS ESTABLISHMENT OF JOINT FISHING COMPANY
MUSCAT, April 28 (Saba) – Yemen and Sultanate of Oman discussed here on Wednesday the possibility of establishing Yemeni-Omani company in the field of fishing and fish manufacturing in order to achieve the economic value added to the reality of the fish investment.
This came during a meeting gathered the Minister of Fisheries Mohamed Shamlan and Omani Minister of Trade and Industry Maqbool bin Ali bin Sultan.
The two sides discussed means to encourage the Yemeni and Omani businessmen to set up joint investment projects in this field so as to contribute to developing the common interests between the two countries.
In the meeting, Shamlan explained that Yemen and Oman have coasts filled with fish, and they are neighbors, which requires the use of this geographical correlation in the fish investment area.
Shamlan welcomed the establishment of any company in the field of fisheries and aquiculture between the two countries.
For his part, the Omani minister reviewed the facilities provided to Yemeni, Arab and foreign investors in the Sultanate in the field of fish, praising the level of development witnessed by the cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries, particularly in recent years.
The two ministers urged the Yemeni and Omani businessmen and investors to go towards the establishment of joint companies in this aspect, stressing the two countries are ready to provide all necessary facilities for the success of their joint investment projects in this area.
