INDUSTRY AND TRADE MINISTER HEADS FOR U.S.

SANA'A, April 28 (Saba) - Industry and Trade Minister Yahya
al-Mutawakil headed Wednesday for the Untied State of America on a
visit during which he will hold talks with officials at the U.S
Department of Commerce.

Speaking to Saba upon departure, al-Mutawakil said that during the
talks the two countries will sign an agreement on Market access for
goods to be an additional push towards complete bilateral trade that
comes within the joint trade and investment treaty.

From the U.S., the minister along with his accompanying delegation
will fly to Switzerland to take part in the multilateral talks on
Yemen's accession to the World Trade Organization, he said.

The talks will be held in Geneva and come within the program agreed
in the last meeting on the issue.

By the end of this year, Yemen will sing the agreement for the
accession after ten-year negotiations, he added.
