Iranian parliamentary group meets Azeri FM

Baku, April 28, IRNA – Members of Iran's parliamentary friendship group met with the Azerbaijan Republic Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov here on Tuesday.
In the meeting, both sides discussed the current situation and outlook of bilateral ties, underlining the necessity of cooperation development.
Referring to the nullification of visa by Iran for Azeri citizens, Mammadyarov said that a reciprocal action for waiving visas for Iranian citizens are under consideration by the Azerbaijan Republic government.
Regarding the official invitation for Iran’s Majlis speaker to visit Baku, the minister expressed hope that that trip would happen soon.
Iran’s parliamentary delegation which arrived in Baku on Monday, met with Azerbaijan Republic Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov and discussed development of parliamentary relations and ways to increase cooperation between the two countries.
The Iranian delegation, before entering Baku, met with Speaker of Milli Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov and discussed ways to increase cooperation between Nakhchivan and Iran’s bordering provinces.
Members of the delegation during their 3-day stay in Baku will meet with Azeri parliamentary friendship group as well as Azeri Milli Majlis international relations committee.
They also will visit number of cultural and academic centers in Baku and confer with number of scientific and cultural personalities of the Republic./end
