President: Iran-Brazil to play key role in world order

Tehran, April 28, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that Iran and Brazil will play a crucial role in the establishment of a world order based on justice.
According to the Presidential Office website on Tuesday, President Ahmadinejad received visiting Brazilian Foreign Minister Brasil Celso Amorim here on Tuesday.
In the meeting, Ahmadinejad told Amorim that mutual ties are friendly, underlining that both countries intend to expand relations in all fields. Ahmadinejad added that both countries are determined to speed up mutual cooperation in all fields and to be effective in the world and regional issues.
Referring to Iran-Brazil positions in two important regions of the world, Ahmadinejad said that the two countries have ample capacities and opportunities for expanding cooperation at bilateral and international levels.
Ahmadinejad further stressed that the expansion of Iran-Brazil relations will benefit both nations as well as the regions.
Referring to the crucial role of Iran-Brazil in the establishment of a new world order, Ahmadinejad stressed that the governing order in the world is collapsing and a new order should thus substitute it.
The president added that Tehran and Brasilia can play an key role in establishment of a new just order in the world.
The Brazilian diplomat pointed to the change in his country's approach towards developing relations, saying that Brazil in its new approach attaches great importance to deepening relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Amorim underlined that Brazil does not believe in imposing sanctions against other countries, especially against the great Iranian nation. He supported using peaceful nuclear energy and developing nuclear program for Iran, as for his own country.
Underlining that the world governing order is changing, Amorim added that Iran and Brazil should help substitute a new order through bilateral cooperation./end
