YEMEN, UN DISCUSS HUMANITARIAN SITUATION

SANA'A, April 26 (Saba) - Yemen and United Nations discussed here on Monday a number of issues relating to development and humanitarian situation in Yemen.

Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi held talks with Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations Amat Al-Alim Al-Soswa on the humanitarian situation in Saada affirming the importance of cooperation and the international assistance in this regard.

During the meeting, al-Qirbi praised the role played by the UN various organizations in Yemen in propping up the development and humanitarian situation in various areas, particularly the situation in Saada.

Al-Qirbi affirmed the complete readiness of the government to support and cooperate with the UN organizations for advancing development process in Yemen.
