STATE CHEMISTRY OLYMPIAD HELD

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ State Chemistry Olympiad organized by the Department of Natural Sciences of the University of Agriculture ran last week.
The Olympiad brought together 70 students from nine universities and institutes such as Mongolia's State University (MSU), University of Science and Technology (MUST), University of Health Sciences (UHS), State University of Education.
The contest has run in two categories. In the first one, N.Tuvshinbat, a student of the Technical College of Orkhon aimag, became the winner followed by L.Ganchimeg (MSU) and G.Gankholog (UHS). A student of the MSU N.Enkhbayar won a gold medal in the second category. The runners-up became N.Tserendagva from the UHS and M.Monkhshur (MSU).
The main purposes of the Olympiad are to prepare young chemists, distribute the latest achievements in chemistry and to improve training quality of universities and institutes.
