Iran holds 1st intellectual property rights seminar

Tehran, April 26, IRNA – The first seminar on intellectual property rights started here Monday morning in the presence of First Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi.
The seminar is being held in line with the government’s policy to protect rights of the Iranian artists and authors and to prevent any form of scientific or literary theft.
Rahimi is to address the seminar which is also participated by Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini, Minister of Justice Morteza Bakhtiari and a number of other officials in charge of legal affairs.
In order to protect intellectual property rights of the Iranian artists, authors and scientists and in order to minimize their concerns to this end, the government is to stop any possible form of plagiarism by legally registering their works./end
