IRGC military drill shows none can ever think of harming Iran
Tehran, April 26, IRNA – A senior parliamentarian said Sunday that the ongoing military exercise of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’ naval force has proved that no one could ever act against Iran’s interests.
Vice-chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hossein Sobhani-Nia made the remarks in reference to a military war game code-named “Holy Prophet 5” conducted by the IRGC’s naval force since April 22 in the waters of the Persian Gulf and Straight of Hormuz in southern Iran.
The four-stage maneuver was in its final phase on Sunday.
“The war game showed foreigners, the US and Zionist regime in particular, that whoever dares to act against Iran’s national interests, should bear grave consequences of such acts,” said the MP.
He stressed that the military exercise aimed to send a message of peace and friendship to regional states and to demonstrate Iran’s deterrent military power to help establish security in the strategic region./end
