CHAIRMAN OF PAKISTAN`S SENATE FOREIGN RELATIONS COMMITTEE MEETS AZERBAIJAN-PAKISTAN
Baku, July 8 (AzerTAj) - Visiting Chairman of Pakistan`s Senate Foreign Relations Committee Mushahid Hussain Sayed met Friday in the Milli Majlis (Parliament) with members of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Inter-Parliamentary Working Group.
Head of the Working Group, MP Eldar Ibrahimov briefed on the Azerbaijan Parliament`s activity, as well as its international relations.
Mr. Ibrahomov said his country attaches great importance to expanding all-round relations with Pakistan.
He also stressed reciprocal visits by leaders of both countries contribute to enhancing bilateral cooperation.
E. Ibrahimov expressed his gratitude to the Pakistan`s leadership for supporting Azerbaijan`s fair stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Mr. Hussain, in turn, expressed satisfaction with his visit to Baku. According to him, these kinds of visits give impetus to the Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations.
He stressed Pakistan`s friendly relations with Azerbaijan and its position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict would remain unchangeable.
He also recalled President Ilham Aliyev`s visit to Pakistan in 2005, and expressed hope Mr. Aliyev would win the forthcoming presidential election.
