French Co.: Business with Iran to continue even in case of sanctions

Tehran, April 25, IRNA -- French Metrolog Co. Manager Francois Soffys said on Saturday that his company would not have any problem with working in Iran in case of sanctions.

"As we have representative and agent in Iran, in case of sanctions we can through our agent, Gilecor, handle problems and they (sanctions) can't hamper activities," said Soffys when asked by IRNA about likely sanctions against Iran in the future and their impact on Metrolog business.

He was speaking to IRNA on the sidelines of the 15th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals Exhbition (April 23-26).

Soffys reiterated that his company works with an agent, Gilecor, and it would resolve problems, if any, caused by likely sanctions in the future.

Noting that business and investment conditions in Iran are good, Soffys said his company works with National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), among many.

He said there are many customers in Iran for his company's products and services and the company is hence satisfied with business there.

He added that many plans and projects Metrolog intends to implement in Iran and wishes to expand activities more and more.

The trader then said his company arranges training workshop for Iranians twice a year and plans to extend them to three a year if conditions permit.

Asked about Iran and Iranian technicians' qualifications, he said Iran's technology is very high and Iranians are highly knowledgeable.

"Their (Iranians') knowledge level is very well. They are skilled in computer. We have the least problem with them. They know how to work with sophisticated machines."

He then said Iran is a very nice country and has nice people
