Greece calls for promotion of ties with Iran
Rome, April 24, IRNA – Head of Greece-Iran Friendship Group in a meeting with Iran’s ambassador to Athens called for promotion of bilateral ties.
Vasilius Yomagies in a meeting with Mehdi Honardoust, by referring to the necessity of developing ties and cooperation between the two countries, said that considering history of friendship and existing cooperation, capacity for promotion of relations is much more than what it is.
By underlining Greece parliament intention to expand ties with Iran, he added that Athens will do her best to increase cooperation with Iran.
The ambassador also, by underlining necessity of expansion of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, called it as an important part of mutual ties.
Referring to the vast ground for developing cooperation, the ambassador called role of parliamentary friendship group in deepening cooperation very important, and pointed out that Iran and Greece are as gates for two continents of Asia and Europe./end
