KPU ANNOUNCES NEW, OLD PARTIES PASS VERIFICATION TO JOIN GENERAL ELECTION
Jakarta, July 8 (ANTARA) - The General Election Commission (KPU) announced here Monday night that 18 newly established parties and 16 old parties passed the factual verification process enabling them to join the 2009 general election.
The 18 new political parties comprising: 1. National Front Party (PBN), 2. Democratic Reform Party (PDP), 3. Great Indonesia Movement Party (PGIR), 4. People's Conscience Party (Hanura), 5. Prosperous Indonesia Party (PIS), 6. Struggle Functional Party (PKP), 7. Indonesian Love Democratic Party (PKDI), 8. National Ulemas Awakening Party (PKNU), 9. Sovereignty Party (PK), 10. Nation Sun Party (PMB), 11. Indonesian National People Castle Party (PNBKI), 12. Patriot Party (PP), 13. National Care for People Party (PPRN), 14. Indonesian Youth Party (PPI), 15. Indonesian Workers and Entrepreneurs Party (PPPI), 16. New Indonesian Struggle Party (PPIB), 17. Regional Unity Party (PPD), 18. Archipelagic Republic Party (PPN The old parties: 1. In addition, six local parties in the autonomous province of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD), which had passed the verification to join the 2009 general election are.
