W SUMATGRA HAS WORLD'S FIRST BILIH FISH EXPERT
Padang, July 8 (ANTARA) - West Sumatra will soon have an expert in the bilih fish, the first in the world, with the installation of Dr Ir Hafrijal Syandri MS as professor at the Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Bung Hatta University (UBH).
The installation will take place during an extraordinary Senate plenum of the UBH in Padang, on Saturday, UBH Rector Prof Dr Yunazar Manjabg said in Padang on Monday.
On the occasion, Dr Ir H Nasfryzal Carlo M.Sc will also be installed as professor of the Civil Engineering and Planning Faculty of UBH, he added.
With the installation ceremonies, it would be for the first time for the UBH to install two professors at the same time since the biggest privately-run campus in Korpertis XI (West Sumatra, Riau and Jambi) was founded in 1981.
Dr Ir Hafrijal Syandri MS will be installed as professor in the management of open sea fisheries, and fish reproduction technology at the Facultry of Marine Affairs and fisheries at the UBH, while Dr Ir H Nasfryzal Carlo M.Sc will be installed as professor in environmental engineering and waste management at the Civil Engineering and Planning Faculty of the UBH.
