President Ahmadinejad officially welcomed by Ugandan counterpart
Kampala, April 24, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who arrived in Kampala on Friday evening, was officially welcomed by his Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni at Presidential Palace.
Ahmadinejad and the accompanying delegation, on the second leg of their tour to two African countries, arrived in Kampala on Friday evening.
After the welcome ceremony, the two presidents started their private negotiation on issues of mutual interest.
President Ahmadinejad will attend a dinner banquet, which President Museveni will host on his honor.
Receiving Iranian businessmen and their families who reside in Uganda as well as meeting with members of Iran-Uganda Friendship Association are among programmes of President Ahmadinejad on Saturday.
He will have a second meeting with his Ugandan counterpart on Saturday and then depart Kampala for Tehran./end
