N.Korean top politician praises Iran’s progress

Beijing, April 24, IRNA – Chairman of North Korea's Supreme People’s Assembly Presidium Kim Yong-Nam in a meeting with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister in Asia and Pacific Affairs praised Iran’s achievements and progress.

According to the report of Iran’s embassy in Pyongyang on Friday, in a one hour meeting, the two sides discussed the current situations on bilateral political, economic and cultural relations and exchanged views on international and regional issues.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Fathollahi conveyed President Ahmadinejad's invitation to Kim Yong-Nam for paying a visit to Iran and also expressed pleasure with signing scientific-cultural exchange program between the two countries.

Fathollahi wrapped up his 3-day visit to Pyongyang on Friday evening and departed the North Korean capital for Tehran./end
