PRESS CONFERENCE HELD ON CELEBRATING ANNIVERSARY

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations of Mongolia with European six countries, the Ambassadors of the these countries to Mongolia called Friday a news conference in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ambassadors of Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania to the People's Republic of China represent their countries to Mongolia. The Czech Republic and the Republic of Bulgaria have their embassies in Mongolia. The dignitaries have arrived in Mongolia to celebrate the anniversary.
Mongolia has friendly relations with these countries that used to be socialist system states and continuing its mutually-beneficial cooperation with them after transmitting into democratic relations. These European countries have significantly contributed to Mongolia's great construction and production sector and have made big amount of investments.
At the conference, the Mongolia's side asked question to Mr Tadeus Homitsky, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland about opening its Embassy in Mongolia. The Polish side answered the question that Poland closed its Embassy in Mongolia due to financial problems. Apart of Mongolia, the Polish Ambassador said that Poland has closed its Embassies and diplomatic missions in several countries because of financial problems, but the traditional friendly relations still continue with these countries.
The Polish Ambassador said that he has willingness to bring the Mongolia-Poland relations into a new chapter. Mentioning that Mongolia is a rich country with its mineral resources, whereas Poland has a big experience of coal extraction and processing, Mr Hometsky underlined that Poland has started to study opportunities to develop collaboration with Mongolia in the mining sector. In addition, the Poland's side has a willingness to cooperate with Mongolia in the educational and socio-economical sectors.
