FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS WITH AMBASSADORS OF ROMANIA AND POLAND
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ G.Zandanshatar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, met Friday with Ambassadors of Romania and Poland to Mongolia who are taking part in measures here for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Poland, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.
The Foreign Minister congratulated H.E. Mr Viorel Isticioaia Budura, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Mongolia and his suits for coming to Mongolia from Beijing to participate in a historic event to mark the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Romania. He said that political, trade, economic, culture and education cooperation of the two countries have been rapidly developing year by year and are making considerable contribution to the promotion of Mongolia. Mongolia attaches more political importance to the historic event of the 60th anniversary, he stressed.
The two parties unanimously noted that there are more potential to expand bilateral relations and cooperation, especially in linking businesses of the two countries beforehand.
At his meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Mongolia Mr Tadeush Homitsky, the Mongolian Foreign Minister expressed his condolences over the deaths of Polish President Lech Kaczynski and his spouse as well as Polish top-ranking officials in a plane crash in Russia.
"The diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Poland were established April 14, 1950. Therefore, I would like to congratulate You on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries," Mr Zandanshatar said. He expressed an interest in increasing Mongolian goods' export to Poland, concluding a Trade Agreement between the two countries in the near future and in setting up a joint intergovernmental commission in order to activate trade and economic relationship within a framework of the actions to promote bilateral trade cooperation.
"The Embassy of Poland in Ulaanbaatar closed its door last year,” Mr Zandanshatar mentioned and expressed his believe that Polish Government will review this decision.
