PLANT TO BE ERECTED TO RECYCLE WASTE
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Protocol was signed Friday by Ch.Bat, a general manager of Ulaanbaatar city; B.Khurelbaatar, a department head of the Finance Ministry on loan-assistance policy and cooperation; and by Lee Dung Gu, a permanent representative of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), to implement a project on establishing a solid waste recycling plant in the city.
This project will be realized in frames of a program on partnership of East Asian countries on tackling problems of global climate change implemented by the government of the Republic of Korea. Before inking the protocol, the Administrative Office of the City Mayor and the Department of Urban Development have co-conducted related researches.
In accordance with the protocol, a plant will be erected to sort various kinds of household and recyclable waste and scrap, and to produce perfect combustion fuel with sorted waste. It is planned to complete the construction of the plant within the year 2011. It is expected that USD 3.5 million will be spent for founding the plant.
