PRESIDENT YUDHOYONO TO RECEIVE RI YOUTH REPRESENTATIVE IN KL

Kuala Lumpur, July 7 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is on Monday slated to receive representatives of Indonesian youth here on the sidelines of a D-8 developing nations summit in the Malaysian capital.

On the occasion, the Indonesian youth representatives would submit the results of a seminar they conducted recently to President YudhoyonO, who is on a three-day visit in Malaysia to attend the D-8 summit.

The Indonesian head of state will on the same day also hold a series of meetings with a number of Malaysian businessmen to discuss investment opportunities in the field of infrastructure and construction in Indonesia.

Besides attending the D-8 summit, tHe President would also hold a bilateral meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to discuss improvement of various cooperation agreements between the two countries and then to inaugurate an Indonesia-Malaysia Eminent Persons Group (EPG) aimed at enhancing bilateral ties between the two neighboring states.

President Yudhoyono and his entourage arrived here at 4.35 on Sunday afternoon by a presidential plane from a visit to East Kalimantan where he opened the 17th National Sports Week (PON) on Saturday.

Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia Dai Bachtiar and Malaysian Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar greeted the Indonesian leader and entourage upon arrival.

The president's entourage included Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestu, Environment Minister Rahmat Witoelar, Chief of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) MS. Hidayat and Chief of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) M. Luthfi.
