Iran’s new envoy to Switzerland submits credentials

Vienna, April 21, IRNA – Iran’s new ambassador to Switzerland Alireza Salari submitted his credentials to Swiss President Doris Leuthard on Tuesday afternoon.
In the meeting, the ambassador conveyed greetings of President Ahmadinejad to his Swiss counterpart and expressed Iran’s desire to expand ties with Switzerland Confederation.
Praising law rules and democracy in Switzerland, the ambassador reminded that Iran had the first parliament in the Asian countries and Islamic revolution was the first revolution in the world that stabilized its popularity and eligibility by holding referendum and several elections.
President Leuthard wished success for the new ambassador and expressed hope that relations between the two countries could be continuous .
She underlined that helping to solve international problems and preventing emergence of crises are among aims of Switzerland's foreign policy./end
