Iran: Terrorist group arrested in Sanandaj

Sanandaj, Kurdestan province, April 21, IRNA – Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said a terrorist group in Sanandaj has been arrested by the Intelligence Ministry forces.

Najjar told reporters in Sanandaj airport on Tuesday afternoon that Intelligence Ministry forces have succeeded to arrest a terrorist group which intended to implement sabotage operation in Kurdestan province and other parts of the country.

He added that the arrested group had documents which indicated their affiliation with religious extremist groups as well as weapons and ammunitions.

Najjar said that during the past seven months, 30 terrorists in seven separate groups, have been arrested in the province which were affiliated to PJAK, Komeleh, Salafis and Vahhabis.

The minister added that these groups had mainly been trained and supported by arrogant powers, especially US and the Zionist regime.
Najjar, who was in Sanandaj to attend meeting of deputies of governors general in political affairs of western provinces departed Kurdestan capital for Tehran in the afternoon./end
