Tehran-London-Tehran flights to resume shortly

London, April 20, IRNA – Britain and Ireland Office manger of IRI Airlines (HOMA) said here Monday if British airports and airspace would definitely be reopened as announced, HOMA’s Tehran-London-Tehran flights would be resumed as of Thursday.
Daryoush Niknam added in an interview with IRNA reporter Monday evening, “A wide aileron plane with over 400 passengers is scheduled to depart Tehran for London on Thursday.”
He added, “The entire passengers who have reserved seats at HOMA flights following the cancellations of the recent days’ flights would be able to fly to London on Thursday.”
Niknam said, “Last Thursday after the emerged flight restrictions due to volcanic clouds of the Iceland volcano eruption over British skies the Tehran-London HOMA flight was urged to land in Germany’s Frankfurt Airport instead of London’s Heathrow and the entire passengers of that flight paved the rest of their way on land whose costs were paid entirely by HOMA.”
He said that HOMA’s London-Tehran Thursday evening flight, too, was respectively cancelled and the next flight that was scheduled for Sunday, too, could not depart.
The office manager said that HOMA would not have any Tehran-London-Tehran flight on Tuesday either and if the British airports and airspace would be reopened on Thursday Iran Air’s first Tehran-London flight and back would depart on Thursday./end
