Iranian-Italian FMs talk on phone
Tehran, April 20, IRNA – Foreign ministers of Iran and Italy in a phone talk Monday discussed the release of two Iranian citizens imprisoned in Italy.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Information and Media Head office, in his talk with Italian counterpart Franco Frattini, Manouchehr Mottaki discussed the problems being faced by the two imprioned Iranians, Hamid Ma’souminezhad and Ali Damirchilou, calling for an urgent resolving of their problems.
Mottaki also stressed the need for a quicker survey of the files of both the citizens, as well as releasing them on bail by the IRI Embassy in Rome.
The Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini, too, promised to look into the matter put forth by Mottaki regarding the fate of the two Iranian prisoners./end
