D.DEMBEREL RECEIVES SHAANXI PROVINCE GOVERNOR
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Parliament Speaker D.Demberel received Monday a delegation headed by Yuan Chunqing, governor of Shaanxi province of the People's Republic of China, in the Government House.
Beginning the meeting, Demberel expressed his satisfaction with an intensive development of Mongolia-China relations and cooperation. He underlined an importance of the high level bilateral meetings, ties and collaborations between provinces, mutual understanding and meetings. He pointed out that the inter-parliamentary ties and the cooperation between friendship groups have been developing at a high level.
In turn, Chunqing thanked the Speaker for the audience and said that among the Chinese provinces namely their province is the closest to Mongolia in terms of geographical location which gives nice opportunities to cooperate in various spheres. He said a delegation of business people arrived with him in order to strengthen the bilateral understanding and the friendship relations and to realize cooperation projects.
Shaanxi is one of the biggest provinces of China for trade and economics and the 3rd largest region following Beijing and Shanghai for economic capabilities. This province supplies its country with biggest amount of coal and natural gas. Shaanxi is the largest base of China's aircraft and spacecraft production and the biggest center of sciences and technologies. The tourism sector is developed well there, for example, the province received 110 million domestic and one million and 560 thousand foreign tourists in 2009.
The province's governor expressed his willingness to develop a cooperation with Mongolia in the tourism and other sectors.
