President receives medal from Moscow Friends Club

SANA'A, July 07(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh was granted on
Sunday a medal from Moscow Friends Club.

The medal was handed over by the head of the club Igor Sarkisov
during his meeting with the president Saleh in Sana'a.

The president was rewarded for his active efforts in national and
international activities associated with humanitarian efforts and
peace in the world.

President Saleh expressed thanks for granting him the medal,
affirming concern of Yemen to develop its ties with Russia.

He appreciated care offered for Muslim Russians by Russian
leadership, saying that he would pay a visit to Russia soon within
framework of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.


In January of 2008, the club decided to grant the medal for
president Saleh.

In the meeting, Sarkisov highlighted historical Yemeni- Russian
ties, pointing out to ceremony of the 80th anniversary of this
relationship that will be next November.

He praised achievements of president Saleh in Yemen, affirming
concern to enhance its with Yemen to serve interests of both
Yemeni-Russian peoples.
