EFA CHIEF PLATINI GIVES PRESS CONFERENCE IN BAKU

Baku, 07 July, (AzerTAj)President of the Union of European Football Associations, UEFA, Michel Platini, gave a press conference in Baku on Sunday as part of his Azerbaijan trip aimed at inspecting the construction of a football academy part of which is funded by the organization.

Platini praised what Azerbaijan`s Association of Football Federations, AFFA, is
doing to develop children`s and youth`s football, and expressed readiness to assist
the country in conducting football reforms.

Following the press conference, Platini met with AFFA President Rovnag Abdullayev
and Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov.
Abdullayev expressed gratitude to UEFA for assisting AFFA in developing football in
the country.

After the meeting, Michel Platini inspected the construction of the football academy.
