Joint Meeting on demarcation of Saudi-Qatari Borders

Jeddah, July 07, SPA -- In line with the directives of the Custodian
of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Sheikh Hamad
bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Qatari Emir; Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the
Interior Minister, held a meeting here yesterday with Sheikh Hamad
bin Jassem bin Jabr al-Thani, the Qatari Premier and Foreign
Minister.

They reached a joint meeting draft minutes to complete demarcation
of borders between the two countries.

They also reached an agreement pertaining to establishment of a
Saudi Qatari coordination join council.

The joint meeting draft minutes are as follows:

"In line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his brother Sheikh Hamad bin
Khalifa Al-Thani, the Qatari Emir, to work for cementing bilateral
relations, and to complete what was discussed by Crown Prince Sultan
bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and
Inspector General, in Qatar on March 10-12, 2008 for activating and
developing the existing cooperation to realize the aspirations of the
leaderships in the two fraternal countries and to reach an agreement
for coordination in various domains between the two countries, and to
further enhance the march of the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) and
realize coordination and integration among the member states in all
fields.

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier,
Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General met with
Qatari Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabr
Al-Thani in Jeddah on July 01, 2008.
