PRESIDENT YUDHOYONO LEAVES FOR MALAYSIA
Balikpapan, July 6 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Sunday at about 14:00 local time left for Kuala Lumpur from Sepinggan airport in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.
Accompanied by Madame Ani Yudhoyono and a number of ministers, the head of state flew to Kuala Lumpur by an airbus 330-330 in a mission to attend the D-8 Summit.
The summit will be held on Tuesday (July 8). But during his stay in the neighboring country, Yudhoyono is scheduled to meet with his Malaysian counterpart, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, in addition to a meeting with local investors.
The president and entourge will continue their tour to Toyako, Hokkaido, Japan, on Tuesday to attend G-8 Outreach Summit on Wednesday (July 9).
Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestu, Environment Minister Rachmat Witoelar and Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda, Head of the Investment Coodinating Board Luthfi and Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry MS Hidayat joined the president's entourage to Japan.
