Assad: Syria's political will, to further boost Iran ties

Damascus, Syria, April 15, IRNA – Syrian President Bashar Assad said on Wednesday that his country’s political will is based on further development of ties with Iran in all fields.
He made the remarks in a meeting with the Iranian Ambassador to the Arab country, Seyyed Ahmad Mousavi.
Describing Iran-Syria ties as deep-rooted, he noted that their expansion is in the interest of both nations.
He hailed Iran’s achievements in different fields, especially in the domains of scientific and nuclear technology and said that Syria will support Tehran's right to access peaceful nuclear technology.
“Tehran-Damascus strategic ties can serve as a model for other countries in the region,” he said.
Mousavi, for his part, referred to the upcoming Iran-Syria Joint High Commission session in late April and called for lifting of visa requirements for both countries’ nationals and providing better services for Iranian pilgrims./end
