Manly`s Kite cops one-game ban

Manly prop Brent Kite will miss Monday night's clash against Melbourne after failing
to beat his high tackle charge at the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night.
Kite, who was charged with a grade one careless high tackle on Cronulla winger Blake
Ferguson, punted on taking the case to the judiciary with a one game suspension
already hanging over his head had he taken the early guilty plea.
The former NSW prop's defence team claimed it was unrealistic to expect Kite to
avoid contact with Ferguson's head, which dipped just before the point of impact.
St George Illawarra front rower Michael Weyman has just entered the judiciary room
where he is attempting to get off a striking charge which threatens to rub him out
for one game.
