Army guarantees defending Iran against any threat: Commander
Tehran, April 14, IRNA – Iran’s Army is ready today to defend the country’s territorial integrity stronger than ever, Army Commander Major General Ata’ollah Salehi said Wednesday.
In a message sent to the joint morning ceremony of the Army’s Exemplary Units, the commander hailed the courageous members of the Iranian Army for their strive to protect their motherland.
The message, read to the meeting in the presence of the Army commander, was sent on the eve of the national Army Day (April 18).
“Today, the Army will proudly guarantee defending national security in all aspects against any possible threats imposed against the country by enemies from air, ground or sea,” said the commander.
Referring to the Iranian military men as “brave-hearts” who protected Iran’s Islamic establishment by sparing their own lives in the past, the commander said that the Army became so strong now that it would save the country from any internal or external threats./end
