Iran's Oil, Gas, Petrochemical exhibit, an opportunity to present achievements: MP

Tehran, April 14, IRNA -- The international Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exhibition is an opportunity for presenting Iran's main achievements in different fields of the oil industry.

Member of the Majlis Energy Commission, Jahanbakhsh Amini told IRNA Tuesday that Iranian companies had a bright record in many fields such as oil and gas.

Some 929 Iranian and 401 foreign companies are to participate in the upcoming 15th International Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exhibition which is scheduled to be held in Tehran’s Permanent International Exhibitions ground on April 22-26.

Amini, who is the Kermanshah MP, noted that the event will provide a chance for foreign companies to get acquainted with Iran’s technical achievements on the one hand and pave the ground for their involvement in Iranian ventures, on the other.

Undoubtedly, most of the international big companies are interested in taking part in the Iranian projects, he said, arguing that although they are pretending to endorse the sanctions against Iran, they are in fact willing to maintain their shares in the Iranian market.

Evaluating the performance of the earlier exhibitions on oil and gas as successful, Amini hoped that this year’s event would also be able to fulfill its mission well.

According to the statistics released by the Oil Ministry, the number of participants has increased by 10 percent compared to the figure for the earlier round.

Participating countries at the event include China, Austria, Spain, Ukraine, UAE, Britain, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Belgium, Thailand, Taiwan, Czech, Denmark, Russia, Romania, Japan, Singapore, Sweden, the Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Oman, France, Finland, South Korea, Mexico, Norway and India./end
