Mehrabian calls for boosting industrial ties with Brazil

Tehran, April 13, IRNA – Minister of Industries and Mines Ali Akbar Mehrabian called for boosting ties with Brazil in the fields of industries and mines sectors on Tuesday.
Mehrabian made the remarks in the Industrial Trade and Cooperation Seminar of Iran and Brazil in Esteqlal Hotel in Tehran.
The Iranian minister said a mutual comprehensive cooperation document will be compiled in the the mines sector in a near future.
The Industrial Trade and Cooperation Seminar of Iran and Brazil opened in the presence of Mehrabian and his Brazilian counterpart Joao Jorge on Tuesday morning.
Over 250 Iranian and Brazilian companies and investors have taken part in the seminar.
The participants are also to confer on various economic issues on the sidelines of the day-long event.
Jorge heading a 120-memebr delegation arrived in Tehran on Monday.
The two-day visit of the Brazilian trade minister is aimed at considering ways to develop ties between the two countries.
This is the biggest Brazilian delegation in history of the two countries' relations to visit Tehran.
The travel of the Brazilian minister to Iran would pave the way for the upcoming first visit to Tehran of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in a month time.
